Happy 2011!

I am looking at my blog and wondering why I don't have any posts.... at all! I think they were erased some how! Bummer. Anyhow, I want to finally update my blog! It has been a year since my last entry.... a lot has happened in a years time! Preston and Malaina are getting so big! Preston is 2 1/2 and Malaina is 18 months! They are so much fun now!
Christmas was so much fun! The kids loved Santa this year and what he got them! We had a blast! Preston is playing soccer and loving it, well most of the time and we also had him in gymnastics which he enjoyed as well! Swimming is next for the both of them! Cant wait!
Back in June, Ryan and I took on a new endeavor, a business! We are now the owners of Salon Tress in Farmington Hills! Life has been crazy since we took over, but we love it! We have a wonderful staff and going to work actually means something now that we own the business!
We have started to remodel our kitchen and I am SO excited! It will take some time but the end result will be awesome!

Key Largo Fun!

Key Largo was such a wonderful trip! The weather was good, could have been a little warmer but the sun was shinning and that made it perfect! Much better than this cold snowy weather here! We left on Sunday the 14th, Valentines Day in the afternoon. The plane ride was okay... the kids were tired and Preston couldn't sit still! Lainie fortunately fell asleep for a little bit! And thankfully we had Papa and Lita with us to help! We arrived in Miami at about 5pm and had an hour drive south to Key Largo! The kids fell asleep for about 30 minutes and then Lainie woke up screaming and shortly after that Preston did the same! Needless to say we all were soooooo happy to finally get to the resort!
What a beautiful villa we had! We roomed with Kelli, Ryan and Lilly and it was perfect! The kids had a blast with each other! Plenty of room to run, and scream!! We had a great view of the marina and all the boats! We took plenty of walks and played in the coral ground sand! It was fabulous! The guys went fishing and golfing, the girls went shopping and sunning and the kids played, ate and slept! We did family activities everyday and night! We went to a bird sanctuary and saw all of the local birds, and we saw dolphins, sea lions and sea turtles at the Water Adventure! The kids fed the Tarpin at a local restaurant and we tried Alligator and Conch! Delicious!
We had a blast and can't wait to do it again! Next year, maybe! We are crazy! It is definitely a challenge traveling with babies! But, once you get to your destination and are with family and relaxing its worth every minute! Until next time!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2010 here we are! Preston and Lainie had a great Christmas! Lots of gifts and having fun playing with their toys! I was shocked that Preston was not into opening the gifts! He just wanted to play with them! And Lainie just rolled around and tried to play! She is now 7 months and still rolling everywhere! She has no interest in crawling yet! She loves to eat though! LOL! She loves bananas, asparagus, Cheerios, and the sippy cup! She is getting better at sitting up and holding things!

Preston is talking up a storm! He loves to play football and basketball and he loves to dance! He has been such a great big brother to Lainie too! He always asks for her and wants to share with her... well most of the time! It is so fun and rewarding to watch them interact with one another! I love being a mom of two... it's so fulfilling!

Well, we have finally gotten into a new family groove! It definitely takes two to run an efficient family of 4! Ryan and I are a great duo! Bed time is CRAZY.... but fun!

Little Lainie is VERY healthy! She is 5 months and weighs about 18lbs! She sleeps pretty good and she smiles ALL of the time! She started to grab things and she loves to talk to her mobile! We got her ears pierced a couple of weeks ago and she cried for a minute and then smiled! She LOVES Preston and belly laughs at him all of the time! He loves to make her laugh!

Preston is saying everything! You say it, and he will try to mock you! He's putting words together! He always says "Bye Bye Dadda", "oh man" and "hello momma!" I love it! He is also going through his terrible two's early! Tantrums and screaming and now he does not want to go to bed! He just wants to talk and play and read! Lilly taught him how to do gymnastics and he shows her his dance moves! He is extremely coordinated and loves to play golf and baseball! We may have a future Tiger Woods or Verlander on our hands!

We have so much fun everyday! I love to see them learn and grow!

Well, what a summer it was! From going to the water parks to hanging with Lilly and Payton and going camping at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes we had a busy summer! Lainie is now 3 months and doing so good! She is sleeping between 6 and 8 hours at night along with several naps during the day! She LOVES her big brother! Everytime he walks by her she smiles so big! She wants to be part of the action!

Preston is such an amazing big brother! He loves little Lainie so much! He rocks her when she cries, shares his toys with her and kisses her all of the time! He is now 16 months and so much fun! He says so much, we can actually have a mini conversation! He is getting so many teeth, climbing and running everywhere and he loves to play baseball and drive his mini four wheeler! And if he could, he would live in the water he loves it so much! He is just such a great kid! Here are some pics from the summer.... and there are more to come! love to all!
